Symone is a sophomore at Holy Names High School in Oakland, California. She is an art enthusiast who loves to paint, sketch, and create graphic novels and comic books. One of her greatest achievements during the pandemic was creating her first comic book titled, “The Carmichael’s Family Vacation.”
In addition to her love of art, Symone enjoys learning about both modern and ancient civilizations from around the world. This interest sparked her desire to become a part of the Cinnamongirl Travelgirl cohort this year. She's excited to join her fellow Cinnamongirls to explore and learn about the vibrant culture and traditions of Japan.
Symone is also involved in a variety of school activities. She is a Student Ambassador, member of the Sophomore Class Council, the BSU, and one of the founding members of the Community Giveback Club.
