Where every girl, fueled by sisterhood, defies society's limits and fearlessly pursues her wildest dreams.
We’re creating a pipeline of changemakers and trailblazers from elementary school through high school graduation and beyond.
We build the confidence of girls of color ages 8-18 by providing a safe environment, with supportive people around them, and experiences that stretch their expertise.
For over 20 years we’ve created a sisterhood to build the self esteem of girls of color and inspire them to reach their full potential.
OUR PROGRAMS
Through mentorship, travel, writing programs, and entrepreneurship, we prepare girls to fearlessly pursue their dreams and become changemakers.

Passport Book Club (ages 8-18)
Starting at age 8, girls explore books by female authors of color, celebrating diverse narratives and perspectives. They engage in thought-provoking discussions through a podcast led by older Cinnamongirls.

Write Your Story (ages 12-18)
In this writing cohort, led by accomplished female authors, our girls learn the art of storytelling and develop their voices as published authors.

Entrepreneurgirl (ages 12-18)
This entrepreneurship program equips our girls with essential business skills, culminating in a pitch competition where they can win seed money to bring their brilliant ideas to life.

Travelgirl (ages 14-18)
Through transformative international experiences, our girls gain a global perspective and discover their potential as leaders on a worldwide stage.

Meet Gabriella
Gabby, an alumna of Cinnamongirl Inc., graduate of Duke University and current law student at Harvard, recently spoke at the United Nations at Geneva on the power that Black girls possess but also the discrimination they face at the Council on Human Rights.
“Cinnamongirl taught me the importance of showing up as my authentic self in all of the spaces that I occupy. I learned that when I stand in a room and speak my truth, I have ancestors, mentors and a community of other Black girls standing right beside me. I am never alone AND always loved.”
