Haley was born and raised in Berkeley, CA and attended Berkeley High School before studying psychology at Whittier College. She returned to the Bay Area after college and worked her way up at the Bay Area Book Festival. Hired in 2017 as a temp to mail books to Festival moderators and bring snacks to meetings, Haley left the Festival in 2019 having taught herself Salesforce in order to build and manage the Festival’s patron management and ticketing systems, as well as supporting the Festival director with high-level donor correspondence and management.

She left the Festival in 2019 to move to Los Angeles to pursue an MFA in Screenwriting from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. Since graduating in 2021, Haley has continued writing and working to get staffed on a TV show. In the meantime, she has been fortunate to be invited back to work with the Bay Area Book Festival for the last two Festivals, and most of all, to work for Cinnamongirl!

Haley still plays lots of soccer and has Angel City FC season tickets. She lives in Los Angeles with her girlfriend (and hopefully a dog one day).
