Our Programs

From August through June, every Cinnamongirl experiences a journey designed to help her understand herself deeply, learn to lead authentically, share her voice powerfully, and experience the world boldly.

  • Social-Emotional Learning | Fall

She processes her real experiences in a safe sisterhood, builds emotional resilience, and discovers she's not the only one who's felt this way.

  • Leadership Development | Spring

Once she understands her experiences, she learns how to use her authentic self to create change—discovering her unique leadership style and learning she can lead as exactly who she is.

  • Capstone Project | Spring

Every girl chooses: become a published author or deliver a TED-style talk. Working one-on-one with a personal coach, she develops her voice and discovers this truth—she has something important to say, and the world needs to hear from her.

  • Travel | Summer

Elementary girls explore regionally, middle schoolers nationally, high schoolers internationally—experiences that expand who they believe they can be.

  • Big Sister, Little Sister

Cinnamongirls are matched across age groups—elementary with middle school, middle school with high school, high school with college alumni—learning that leadership isn't about having all the answers—it's about showing up for each other.

Hear From Our Girls

They'll tell you better than we ever could what happens when a girl finally finds her sisterhood.

CINNAMONGIRL ALUMNA

Meet Gabriella

Gabby, an alumna of Cinnamongirl Inc., graduate of Duke University and current law student at Harvard, recently spoke at the United Nations at Geneva on the power that Black girls possess but also the discrimination they face at the Council on Human Rights.

Cinnamongirl taught me the importance of showing up as my authentic self in all of the spaces that I occupy. I learned that when I stand in a room and speak my truth, I have ancestors, mentors and a community of other Black girls standing right beside me. I am never alone AND always loved.
